Chastain Park

Chastain Park

Chastain Park is a pocket neighborhood surrounding a city park of the same name.  It is located north of Buckhead and south of Sandy Springs. There is an active civic association and well-known amphitheater which offers open air live music events during the summer months.

Chastain Park Civic Association

CPCA’s mission is to: protect the interests of the residents; strengthen relationships with our neighbors; encourage community engagement; investigate and correct civic abuses; and foster relationships with elected representatives. The mission can be summarized into 3 main focuses: Advocacy, Community, and Safety. Joining the CPCA provides access to their private Security Patrol. The CPCA typically hosts a members-only Winter Gala, a spring family picnic and a parade and festival for the 4th of July.

Festivals

The Chastain Park Arts Festival will host its Ninth annual event at Chastain Park for approximately 185 artists and artisans. Guests enjoy fine art and crafts, a children’s area and local food and beverage concessions including the gourmet food trucks. Local acoustic musicians perform live. Best of all, it’s entirely free to attend! The spring arts and crafts festival is the beginning of May while the fall festival is the beginning of November.

Amphitheater

The Cadence Bank Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater within Chastain Park. Opened in 1944, the venue is known as “Atlanta’s Oldest Outdoor Music Venue”. The venue attracts more than 200,000 spectators per season. For most shows, table seats are set up in the lower part of the stands. Food and drinks, including alcohol, are allowed to be brought in for consumption. Gourmet spreads on white table clothes under candle-light are common.
